AN ANNOUNCEMENT WAS RELEASED BY RANAGA FARBIARZ THAT THIS EVENT IS CANCELED:

This 3-day event will bring together art cars and art car enthusiasts from around the country. A variety of activities and spontaneous parades and displays can be expected.

Part of the “Great MidWestern ARTCAR Tour of 2010″, this event is sponsored by Eureka Springs ARTCARtists 2.0  Cruising, community outreach, meet and greet the art cartists, and a  Parade on Spring Street, 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19th.

Shakespeare in the Ozarks will present it’s opening performance of The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare on Saturday, May 15th, at 4:00 PM in historic Harmon Park.

Come to Eureka Springs and enjoy Shakespeare’s first and most accessible play in a beautiful outdoor setting!

The Comedy of Errors is a hilarious mistaken-identity farce involving two sets of twins, set in the mysterious and magical city of Ephesus. In celebration of our fair city, we will transpose the action to Eureka Springs in its heyday – the turn of the 19th/20th centuries. The story and language will be as Shakespeare wrote them; this version will be created by local performers and designers. The result? A uniquely Eurekan production such as you will not find anywhere else in the world! Spread your blanket or unfold your lawn chair and enjoy the intimate ambiance created by the hills, trees, and rock outcroppings in the amphitheater of Eureka Spring’s historic Harmon Park.

Sneak preview of The Comedy of Errors to be performed in Harmon Park by Shakespeare in the Ozarks

The 1st Annual Eureka Springs Garden Clubs’ Secret Garden Tour will be held May 22nd from 10am-3pm.

Eureka Springs Preservation Society 2nd Annual Simply Scrumptious Dessert and Tea will be held May 11th at the Crescent Hotel.

Twelve beautifully designed table tops with desserts will be presented in the Crescent Hotel’s Conservatory. The Preservation Society will raffle off a special table.

Artists open their studios to the public along White Street plus outdoor exhibits and entertainment make this a highlight of the month of May Festival of the Arts.
